The first model and talent conference event staged outside New York City returns for 2008! The 2008 Models of the South Competition commences Friday evening, November the 28th and ends on Monday, December 1st.
The Models of the South Conference:
FEMALE PARTICIPANTS:
Ages: 5 and up with one to three categories in every age division.
MALE PARTICIPANTS:
Ages: 5 and up with with one to three categories in every age division.
CATEGORIES include:
STUDENT-MODEL, MODEL-IN-TRAINING and PROFESSIONAL (pertains to height only)
TALENT COMPETITION:
A video (VHS) or DVD must be submitted for pre-judging by October 24, 2008. The talent segment will include either singing and dancing or a two-minute monlogue (no alcohol or tobacco related monologues permitted).
MODELING COMPETITION:
The modeling competition is comprised of one runway-walk per contestant, a 30-second demo television spot (topic of participant's choice NOT related to alcohol or tobacco), and still photos, including: one head shot and one full-length and two of choice.
MODEL & TALENT JUDGING:
All judges will be representatives of major model and talent agencies located in New York City, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Hollywood, Europe and Japan.

OVERALL AWARDS:
To be elgible for an overall award, pariticpants must compete in each of the three major competitions.

PETITE MODEL of the SOUTH (female ages 15 to 25)
CHILD FEMALE MODEL of the SOUTH (female ages 5-14)
CHILD MALE MODEL of the SOUTH (male ages 5-12)
